To provide and improve our services, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your display name and email address. This allows us to authenticate you, send verification codes, and manage your account.
• Profile Picture: You may optionally choose to upload a profile picture. If you do, it is processed and stored on our secure servers. You can remove your profile picture at any time.
• Location Data: To locate nearby spots and allow you to "Check In", Revynd requests access to your device's precise location (GPS). Location data is used strictly to verify that you are within range of a spot during check-ins and is not tracked or stored in the background.
• Check-In Records: When you perform a check-in, we save the spot ID, your selected vibe tag, the time, and the current crowd intensity. This aggregated activity updates the real-time vibe density map.
• Contacts (Hashed): If you use the "Find Friends from Contacts" feature, we access the email addresses and phone numbers in your device's address book. This information is cryptographically hashed client-side (using the SHA-256 algorithm) before being transmitted to our servers. We check these hashes against our database to identify matching accounts. We do not store your raw or hashed contacts on our servers after the matching process is completed.
• Camera Access: If you use the "Scan QR Code" feature to add friends, we request access to your device's camera. Camera data is processed locally on your device in real-time solely to decode the QR code and is never collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers.
• Friend and Connection Data: We collect and store information about your connections on the platform, including your list of friends, pending friend requests, and invite referral relationships, to enable the app's social features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To manage, secure, and authenticate your active sessions.
• To display nearby recreational areas and coordinates on your local map.
• To aggregate crowd activity at specific locations (without revealing your individual coordinates to other users).
• To enforce spam protection rules (e.g., restricting check-ins to once per hour).
• To compare hashed contact data against our user base to help you discover friends who are also using Revynd.
• To facilitate social interactions, such as managing your friends list and pending requests, and processing invite referrals.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information or location data with third-party advertising networks or data brokers. All data is transmitted securely via SSL/TLS encryption and stored on protected cloud servers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account credentials, name, email, and check-in history are stored on secure database systems. Passwords are encrypted using the BCrypt hashing algorithm before storage. We maintain local tokens on your device's SecureStore to manage authentication sessions, which automatically expire after 10 days.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. You have full control over your personal information:

• Self-Service Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated history at any time by navigating to the Profile tab within the app and selecting Delete Account.
• Immediate Removal: Upon account deletion, your profile record, email address, profile picture, friend connections, and entire check-in history are permanently deleted from our active databases.
